About Aishling

Fáilte / Welcome to my website! I’m Aishling, former owner of Aishling Companion Home Care, a non-medical home care agency, and current owner of Aishling Care Academy, a certified nursing assistant (CNA) school dedicated to delivering highly qualified CNAs to the healthcare industry. My journey in healthcare and education began with a deeply personal experience—caring for my mother through her dementia journey. I understand firsthand how challenging this can be, and it ignited my passion for both supporting seniors and advocating for quality care.

Through my experiences, I’ve come to appreciate the vital importance of enabling seniors to age in place at home. There’s truly no place like home—seniors excel and feel a greater sense of security when they’re able to remain in their familiar surroundings. As children, it’s our responsibility to make that option possible, reserving nursing home placement as a last resort. Time is our most precious asset, and I envision your moments with your loved ones being filled with quality care and meaningful interactions, not more frustrations and endless to-do lists.

Many families, especially those with aging parents, struggle to provide the right support. Caring for a loved one with dementia or other health challenges can leave families feeling unsure of where to turn for help. That’s where I come in. Having lived through this journey myself, I am dedicated to helping you navigate the complexities of dementia care and health challenges. Together, we can create a tailored plan that meets your family’s needs, and I’ll provide the support and resources necessary to avoid burnout and ensure your loved one receives the best care possible.

As a senior advocate, I also see the daily challenges seniors face when trying to keep up with a world that has changed so much from the one they grew up in. Tasks like setting up a cell phone, managing TV remotes, retrieving or blocking unwanted emails, or handling simple everyday tasks can feel overwhelming and frustrating. In addition to specializing in dementia consultations, I help seniors and their families overcome these challenges by providing simple, practical solutions to ease their day-to-day lives. My own mother always said, “Less is more.” I take the fluff out and give you peace of mind and simplicity.

I offer consultations for families or individuals seeking assistance, guidance, and resources to create a tailored plan for the future. My goal is to provide ongoing support, ensuring that you have the tools and resources needed as you navigate the care of your loved one. Whether your loved one has dementia or not, I specialize in customizing solutions to meet your unique needs, focusing on what works best for your family’s situation. I am here to guide you every step of the way, providing the support necessary to make informed decisions and improve quality of life.
